The machining process
The tableting tools are clamped in a special fixture. The polishing medium sinks into the tank with polishing granules which has been specifically designed to the requirements of the tableting punches. An even and absolutely reproducible sliding motion of the polishing medium on the punch pressing surfaces is guaranteed due to the multi-axis motion of the machine. Machining time A polishing cycle takes, depending upon application, between 1 and 120 minutes and runs fully automatically.
