the original high-gloss
state of dirty, worn or
matt punch pressing
surfaces.
Thus preventing sticking
problems in advance.
The machine controlled
finishing totally precludes
any possible damage
which often happens when
manually machined.

 

 

The machining process
The tableting tools are clamped in a
special fixture. The polishing medium
sinks into the tank with polishing granules
which has been specifically designed to
the requirements of the tableting punches.
An even and absolutely reproducible
sliding motion of the polishing medium
on the punch pressing surfaces is
guaranteed due to the multi-axis motion
of the machine.

Machining time
A polishing cycle takes, depending upon
application, between 1 and 120 minutes
and runs fully automatically.

The capacity
The following tools can be machined in
a polishing cycle:
48 IPT-B punches
36 IPT-D punches

Personnel qualifications
Loading and unloading
of the punches is incredibly easy.
Every individual tool merely
requires clamping by a screw.
This process can be done by
anyone.

Surface protection
The polishing
granules contain a paraffin oil to
protect the tools from rust and
corrosion.
